Gu Gu Strikes Again

Beijing, China, Gu Gu the panda with a taste for human flesh has struck again, this time mauling someone who jumped a barrier to retrieve a child's toy, his third attack on a visitor at the Beijing zoo.

Zhang Jiao a tourist went over a 4-foot, 7-inch barrier surrounding the panda's outdoor exercise area to retrieve a toy dropped by his clumsy 5-year-old son.

The 240-pound Gu Gu bit the intruder's legs and refused to let go until zookeepers pried his jaws open with Panda jaw opening tools .

Zhang had looked around to check if there were pandas nearby before jumping the barrier but pandas being one of nature's top predators used its black and white fur to conceal itself against the grey concrete before attacking.

Gu Gu first made news in 2007 when he bit a drunken tourist who jumped into his pen and tried to hug and molest him. The drunkard bit the panda back. Many have called for panda therapy after the incident.

In October, Gu Gu viciously bit a teenager who climbed into his exercise area because he was a stupid teenager.

It is not clear if Zhang would face criminal charges as there are signs posted all around the zoo about not feeding the animals.

Wang Explodes For The Last Time

Weather rockets are shot into the atmosphere in order to break up clouds to either protect crops or to simply improve the weather.
One of these rockets recently missed its target in the Chinese town of Wang Chung.

Inner Mongolia resident Wang Diange was killed after an explosion rocked the house where he was staying.
It was a raining so it was assumed the house had been struck by lightning.

Later on Wang's body exploded during his cremation blowing the doors off the chamber.

No one could figure out why the blast had occurred, until one of the fragments was found afterward bearing a military serial number. It was determined to be part of a shell casing.

The weather bureau had been firing the shells containing silver iodide in order to bust up some hail that was forming.

One unexploded shell lodged in Wang, and then went unnoticed due to his body being mangled.

Wang went out with a final bang.

When Monkeys Go Bad

During a street performance in China the monkeys turned on the organ grinder.

One monkey had refused to ride on a bicycle, and was consequently beaten like you do with performing animals.

His two monkey friends came to the monkey's aid by taking the trainer's cane and returning the beating. They also pulled the trainer's ear and bit his head while an audience of highly entertained spectators looked on.

"They were once wild and these performances don't always come naturally to them. They may have built up some feelings of hatred towards me," the stunned trainer said to the audience.

OBB News can't think of any reason the monkeys would dislike getting beat while being forced to perform stupid tricks.
Later on in the day the trainer felt like hugging a cute Panda at a nearby zoo and was surprised when he was mauled.

Black And White Carnage

Beijjing, China, A college student was bitten by a panda after he broke into the bear's enclosure hoping to get a hug.

The student was visiting Qixing Park with classmates on Friday when he jumped the 6.5-foot - high fence around Yang Yang's habitat.

The student was bitten in the arms and legs. Two foreign visitors who saw the attack ran to get help from workers at a nearby refreshment stand, who notified park officials.

The student was a pale shade of yellow as he was taken away by medics but appeared clear-headed.

"Yang Yang was so cute and I just wanted to cuddle him. I didn't expect he would attack," said the not so bright 20-year-old student, surnamed Liu, in a local hospital.

Yang Yang was behaving normally on Saturday and did not seem to suffer any negative psychological effects, a park employee said as students have been known to be quite toxic.

Last year, a panda at the Beijing Zoo attacked a teenager, ripping chunks out of his legs, when he jumped a barrier while the bear was being fed.

The same panda was in the news in 2006 when he bit a drunk tourist who broke into his enclosure and tried to hug him while he was asleep.The tourist retaliated by biting the bear on the backside.

Bear expert grizzly Adams said: " While animals like Pandas and Lemurs may look cute and harmless they are actually in the top 10 of nature's most effective killing machines as seen on Animal Planet. Only a full and thick beard will protect you from their vicious attacks."

Not Quite Babe

Villagers of the Fengzhang village, Xiping township of China were shocked after a monkey-like piglet was born.

The owner Feng Changlin said: "It's hideous. No one will be willing to buy it, and it scares the family to even look at it how are we supposed to eat it?"

He says the piglet looks just like a monkey, with two thin lips, a small nose and two big eyes. Its rear legs are also much longer than its forelegs, causing it to jump instead of walk and as pigs are quite clean animals it chucks it's poo rather than fling it.

"But our son likes to play with it, and he stopped us from getting rid of it. He even feeds it milk."

There is hope for the pig as Feng says when it gets bigger he will have it cured.

Frog Alert

A flood of frogs fearlessly dodged traffic in a mass exodus from something. Many Chinese people saw this migration as a bad omen of a coming natural disaster. The Chinese government said it was natural for the purpose of propagation. No one took the omen very seriously.

That was 8 days before the 7.9-magnitude earthquake. The question is what do the frogs know that we don't ?

This Was No Natural Disaster

Monday's magnitude-7.9 quake, China's deadliest in three decades with a death toll of more than 12,000 and tens of thousands homeless was no natural disaster.

The city of Mianyang home to the headquarters of China's nuclear weapons design industry was the first test site for a top secret earthquake machine according to anonymous sources from the CIA.

The growing pressure on China with the poisonous products they have exported and the Olympic torch carrying protests over the invasion of Tibet has given China nothing but bad press.

To distract the world the Chinese government created this disaster sacrificing its own people to attain sympathy from the West. 12,000 people is nothing compared to China's ever growing popluation of just over 1.3 billion people.

Chinese Heads Meat

In a historical meeting Pak Ju-Bing of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China meets with Pik Bong-ju of the Central Committee of the Interior Communist Party of China to talk about bilateral cooperation in various fields including cultivating good-neighborliness and friendship and enhancing cooperation with the people of Tibet and maintaining the ever-lasting vigor and robustness of Chinese world domination.

This important meeting went well and contamination of Chinese export goods is well a head of schedule. It is not sure which of the leaders were which but a good time was had by all.

Harmful Weapons Recalled

China has suffered yet another embarrassing recall to it's export trade.The Chinese vessel, An Yue Jiang, was docked at the South African port with weapons ordered by Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe just days after the presidential elections.

It is thought he wanted them to ensure safe democracy and an all out win for his party.

The thousands of bullets sent over are thought to contain dangerous amounts of lead and the mortar shells have toxic traces of the date rape drug GHB and could be fatal if ingested by a child.

Dockers in South African port of Durban won't unload the 77 tons of mortars, ammunition and rocket-propelled grenades and other weapons and the ship had to leave.

Earlier this week, Chinese troops were seen on the streets of Zimbabwe's third largest city Mutare probably to collect the earlier shipments of harmful weapons .

At least two child soldiers in Zimbabwe were hospitalised with lead poisoning after licking the paint on their AK-47's.

84-year-old Mugabe was speaking out in public and launched a typical tirade against Britain in his first major speech since the elections.

Mugabe told 15,000 cheering supporters in a fiery address to mark independence day: "Down with the British. Down with thieves who want to steal our country."

In a stream of insults against Britain that called Gordon Brown 'fat and ugly' the people 'chavs and chavettes ' and the food 'horrible' which is more true than insulting, Mugabe added: "Today they are like thieves fronting their lackeys among us, which they give money to confuse our people."

Oxfam and save the Children insist they are trying to give food and medical aid to the people that Mugabe is killing and starving and the only confusing thing is the exchange rate, 25 million dollars = 62p which is the cost of a loaf of bread and more than most make in a week.

Mugabe, in power since independence in 1980, repeated the line that London was the real enemy and called on the king of England 'Big Ben' to surrender to Zimbabwe or face the might of his taunting.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said: " Its terrible when everything resorts to insults, I may be fat and ugly but I can diet and have plastic surgery. Mr Mugabe will always be stupid."


Mr Brown added: "The UK really really doesn't want Zimbabwe, in fact we don't even want Northern Ireland and they are almost civilised and right next door."

Xu The Builder Can You Fix It ?

Xu Jianguo, 35, was a builder working on a building site in Chongqing City, China when a steel rod fell from the ninth floor and struck him.

He miraculously survived after it speared him through the head and stuck in three inches into his skull. It speared through his safety helmet and into his brain.

Colleagues of Mr Jianguo heard him cry out but thought he had simply slipped and fallen until they saw the bar wedged in his head.

Firefighters had to cut the bar using industrial cutters before Jianguo could be operated on. Surgeons then performed four hours of emergency surgery to remove the bar.

Dr Li Cheng, who was on the operating team, said: "Luckily the brainstem was intact.
"Unfortunately, the bar had also smashed off part of the plastic of the hat and this had been forced into the brain so deeply that we were unable to remove it.

"We will see if there are any consequences in a few weeks, but at the moment he is talking normally and seems to have no ill effects and besides hes just a builder, its not like hes a brain surgeon or something ."
