Knut The Psychopathic Killer

Knut the polar bear that was rejected by his mother and hand raised by zoo handlers even though animal rights activist Frank Albrecht called for its death rather than be treated like a pet has turned into a vicious killer.

The bear whose home is at the Berlin Zoo has been likened to Ted Bundy who had a loving upbringing but still turned into a serial killer.

The Polar bear caught 10 carp from the moat that surrounded him and ripped them to shreds in front of several disgusted zoo patrons.

Knut "senselessly murdered the carp" as reported in one German newspaper. He eventually ate the fish but there has been speculation that hand-reared Knut killed the carp just for fun.

Tyler Cowen, traveler and economics professor and regular contributor to the New York Times said: "Umm... he's a Polar Bear!"

Yes Mr Cowen Knut is indeed a Polar Bear, a Carp murdering Polar Bear to be exact, have we not learned anything from the Holocaust? first its 10 fish and before you know it 6 million are dead, live with that Mr Cowen.

Spring Brings New Hope For Treeman

Good news for the 35 year-old Indonesian fisherman named Dede who had warty roots growing out of him after he cut his knee in a teenage accident.

His affliction is caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), a fairly common infection that usually causes small warts to develop on sufferers.

After not being able to work as a fisherman he made a meager living whittling small animals and love spoons out of his legs.

Now Dede has sprouted lush green leaves and hopes they will flower and be pollinated by bees as he hasn't had sex for years even though he sports plenty of wood.

Define - Safe

Dwarika Prasad had deposited currency notes and investment papers worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in a bank safe in the state capital Patna his life savings no less. Termites infested his bank's safe deposit boxes ate them up.

The bank says it put up a notice warning customers of the termites.

Mr Prasad says he did not see it in time as he did not go to the bank for months after the notice went up.

Bank officials admit they did not inform the customers individually about the termite problem.

"I'm shattered. I do not know what to do as I had kept the money for my old age to buy a sports car and hot lady friends," Mr Prasad said.

The trader says he had deposited 450,000 rupees ($11,000) in currency notes, investment papers worth 232,000 rupees ($5,660) and some gold and silver jewellery in a safe deposit box of the government-owned Central Bank of India.

Mr Prasad says that relations with his wife and children were strained and he wanted to put the money in the safe box to keep it safe from them.

His wife and children were too busy laughing to comment but his wife did wonder where her jewelry had went to.

He started using the safe box in September 2005.

He says when he opened it on 29 January, there was nothing in the safe except termite dust and remains of currency notes and that his investment papers were "badly perforated".

The white ants did not even spare the ornaments and their sheen has vanished, he says.

"I wrote to the head office of the Central Bank of India and the regional offices of the Reserve Bank of India," Mr Prasad says. "Even after two months, I'm waiting for a response from them."
Bank authorities say they put up a notice, dated 8 May 2007, outside the locker room warning customers about the termite infestation.

They advised customers to remove their documents and papers from their safe.

"We received a few complaints of termites in safe deposit boxes so after putting on the notice, we got pesticides sprayed in the bank," said bank manager YP Saha.

Mr Saha says the customer cannot blame the bank because he did not find his locker broken or damaged so at least that was kept safe.

"The bank is not liable for the deposits kept inside the safe as it is only when a locker is found broken that the bank is answerable," he said.

Bank authorities say they would have forwarded Mr Prasad's complaint to higher authorities but they put it into a safe deposit box to keep it safe and it was gone the next day.
They say he is not entitled to any compensation for his loss but can open a free checking account as he is a valued customer .

The bank is looking into replacing the wooden vault and wooden deposit boxes with airtight steel but that wooden work because of the expense, they would have to take out a bank loan and their credit history isn't too good .

Couple Invent Children To Collect Benefits

In Somerset, Devon, David Wilshaw, 58, and his partner Nancy Stevenson, 59, invented 16 children to claim £75,000 in benefit payments and took the money after he fabricated a huge family over a four-year period.

The idea was born after the pair applied for tax credits for two of Stevenson's children and realised that nobody asked to see birth certificates or any other proof of their existence. In the more liberal Burroughs in England they assume everyone is telling the truth as to not offend them.

Wilshaw then went on to make up the names of 16 children, pocketing more than £400 a week.

He claimed that he was adopting or fostering them although he lived in a small flat.

He named them Gareth Wilshaw, Simon Wilshaw, Sandra Wilshaw, Brian Wilshaw, Jason Wilshaw, Rebecca Stevenson, Phillip Stevenson, Edith Stevenson, Terry Stevenson, Barbara Stevenson, Amanda Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Miranda Evans, Jemma Williams, Danny Evans and Amber Mitchell.
.
He said he enjoyed having a large family.
.
Its good that they only made up the children as how ugly would their biological off-spring be if they had actually bred?

Wilshaw put the money to good use in betting shops, while Stevenson admitted drinking two bottles of brandy a day, the rest was just squandered.

When he was finally arrested, Wilshaw bragged that he was "doing a public service" by exposing the loophole in the benefits system. If only there were more public spirited citizens such as he.

He was sentenced to 20 months in prison after admitting fraud, handling stolen goods and obtaining property by deception.

Stevenson avoided jail after it was said she had played a "lesser role" and that Wilshaw had transferred just a measly £9,000 of the money into her account.

She admitted one charge of money laundering and a further charge of tax credit fraud and was given a 12-month supervised community order.

The court heard that Wilshaw, who received £113-a-week income support, hatched the plot after claiming child tax credits for his partner's children, neither of whom was living at the couple's home in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

The couple were arrested in March last year after 12 Inland Revenue investigators raided their home. Wilshaw said after his arrest: " It was incredibly easy. Nobody ever checked up on us until last week."

During his prison sentence Wilshaw will be counseled to come to terms with the loss of his children.

Transplant Precipitant Re-lives Donor's Life

After the story about the heart transplant recipient marrying his donor's widow and committing suicide in the same way as the donor did we have yet another similar story.

Are some people susceptible to receiving elements of that person's character or soul when they have a transplant or even a blood transfusion? and what about those with animal parts, will they become more animalistic or be prone to diseases only animals can get thus mutating it into a human virus?

Any parent will tell you that nature wins over nurture, how does the new born get into the habit of sleeping with its bottom in the air like its father that they haven't met?

Claire Sylvia, 47, a divorced mother of one was dying from a disease called primary pulmonary hypertension when, in 1988, she had a pioneering heartlung transplant in America.

She was given the organs of an 18-year-old boy who had been killed in a motorcycle accident near his home in Maine.

Claire, a former professional dancer, seemed to be acquiring the characteristics, and cravings, of the donor.

She had developed a sudden fondness for certain foods she hadn't liked before: Snickers bars, green peppers, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Chinese takeaway and even beer.

Claire was still felt attracted to men but didn't feel that same need to have a boyfriend as she felt more independent than before as if I had taken on a more masculine outlook, she scratched her crotch and spat a lot and started to only think about herself .
Since the donor was an 18 year-old boy (or men as we call them in the UK) she got aroused just thinking about linoleum .

She felt tougher, fitter more aggressive and assertive and stopped getting colds, if she got lost when driving she never asked for directions.

Even her walk became more manly. "Why are you walking like that?" her teenage daughter Amara asked.

"You're lumbering like a musclebound football player."

She had dreams about a tall thin young man she came to know as Tim L.

After doing research she found an obituary for an 18-year-old who had died in a motorcycle accident whose name was Timothy Lamirande.

Claire wrote to his parents and met them and Tim's siblings, all her new found tastes were those that Tim had.

None of the others who got other parts from Tim had come forward so maybe its only the odd few. Thats the gamble for a little bit more life at any cost.

Assault With A Deadly Hedgehog

Wellington, New Zealand a man has been accused of assault with a hedgehog.

Police said that William Singalargh, 27, picked up the hedgehog and threw it several yards to hit a 15-year-old boy in the North Island east coast town of Whakatane .

"It hit the victim in the leg, causing a large, red welt and several puncture marks," police Senior Sgt. Bruce Jenkins said .

The teen did not need medical treatment, he added. It was not known whether the hedgehog was dead or alive at the time of the attack, but that it was dead when collected as evidence.

Jenkins said Singalargh, was arrested shortly after the incident on a charge of assault with a weapon.
His lawyer, Rebecca Plunket, said Singalargh intends to plead innocent and says the hedgehog leapt at the boy before it died, like a suicide mission.

The maximum penalty for assault with a hedgehog is five years in prison, a hamster would have only been 4 years.

UFO Image De-Bunked

Frank Ramirez of San Diego thought he could get this possible UFO image past OBB News.

He claims to have taken it in August of 2007. It does have a UFO shape to it and a red glow on the top but by just enlarging it you can tell its only a moth. Ramirez didn't comment when faced with this news.
