Human Traffic Comes To A Stand Still

There were 124 passengers on Northwest Airlines Flight 59 when it left the Netherlands. There were 125 when it landed in Boston.

A woman went into labour and gave birth to a healthy baby girl over the Atlantic Ocean on during the eight-hour flight from Amsterdam.

There was a doctor and a paramedic on the flight that assisted in the birth or at least they said they were.

The plane landed and the mother and baby were immediately taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The nationality of the mother is not known , but said for customs' purposes the baby was considered a Canadian citizen because she was born over Canada's airspace.

Usually people from the Netherlands smuggle drugs in their nether regions, this woman is being held by police for smuggling babies.
