Amateur "Do it yourself" enthusiast Ronald Long from Missouri, decided to save money and install his home satellite TV system himself.
Everyone knows that instead of a drill to drill a hole in the wall in order to run a wire through to the television you use a .22 caliber pistol to shoot a hole through the wall.

His first shot was unsuccessful in penetrating the wall which is strange as .22 caliber weapons are just little pop guns used to pick off rodents with.
Satellite Dishes use a RG6 cable ,the proper caliber would be closer to a .38.
His second shot somehow hit his wife in the chest, 34-year-old Patsy Long. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Ronald could now be charged with manslaughter, though prosecutors haven't decided what charges to press as stupidity is legal in the United States as a constitutional right .
Cable companies are discussing adding a warning onto their television ads warning about the potential dangers of non-professional satellite dish installation.

does he still get to collect her life insurance policy?
So SO proud to be an American.
A truly proud American would sue both the gun manufacturer AND the Satellite Dish Company.
Only in this great country would a man have a gun and not a drill.
