Florida teens believe drinking a cap of bleach will prevent HIV and a shot of Mountain Dew and that smoking marijuana will prevent a person from getting pregnant .
This has prompted lawmakers to push for an overhaul of sex education in the state.
State lawmakers said the myths are spreading because of Florida's abstinence only sex education and that Florida teens aren't too smart to begin with.
They will now be teaching abstinence but students would also learn about condoms and other methods of birth control and disease prevention such as dousing with sprite and keeping your socks on during intercourse.

Having lived in FL for 3 years I can personally guarantee the accuracy of this story.
Knudsen, I think the funniest part of this post is that you've made a category for "Florida Teens"--well, that and the socks information.
Where do you wear the sox?
